There is a song I love that was produced by The Belonging Co., which is the church my son and his wife attend in Nashville. It’s a powerful song titled, “Isn’t He”, by Natalie Grant. Some of the lyrics go like this…
Captivator of the searching heart,
This Jesus, how precious.
Mender of a million shattered parts,
This Jesus, relentless.
So wonderful, so beautiful,
So kind and lovely,
Isn’t He? Isn’t He?
Beyond compare
Treasure rich and rare
Marvelous and holy
Isn’t He? Isn’t He?
Such a great song, with such meaningful words!
Have you thought about Him lately, “This Jesus…so precious!”
Have you ever thought of Jesus as precious?
“This Jesus”, has become my lifeline…the name I call on every time I find myself alone. When I wake up in the middle of the night with thoughts that can overwhelm me, I can call out to “Jesus”! When I try to pray, but the words just aren’t there…I simply repeat His name, “Jesus”, “Jesus”, until my peace comes.
He is kind and lovely…Isn’t He? Haven’t you witnessed His kindness to you? Have you ever considered Him to be a treasure you have been given? When was the last time you thought about Jesus being wonderful, beautiful, marvelous, and holy?
He wants to be the captivator of your soul! He wants to mend your shattered pieces! He wants to be the one you call on when life gets tough. But, if you can’t comprehend Him as holy and miraculous…then you might be missing all that He has for you.
James 1:17 (NIV) says,
Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting sand.
God gave us a gift, Jesus, our deliverer, our advocate, our defender, and our Savior! I need a friend like Jesus, don’t you? The next time you find yourself in a panic, or you feel overwhelmed with anxiety, remember you can call out to “This Jesus”, who loves and cares for you, and always hears you.
He is kind to you...Isn’t He?
He is there for you in every season…Isn’t He?
He is your very present help, always….Isn’t He?
And you love Him….Don’t you?
Beyond compare…treasure, rich and rare,
This Jesus….so precious.
This Jesus….
My Jesus…Your Jesus!!
Passionate for the cause of Christ,
