BROOKE BATES
ERIC & BROOKE BATES
With almost 20 years ministry experience, Eric and Brooke Bates serve as the lead pastors of MAG Church - Morrisville Assembly of God. Prior to Morrisville, they led churches and ministries in Georgia, Texas, and Arkansas.
Pastor Eric graduated from the University of Arkansas with a bachelors degree in Organizational Leadership, went on to earn a masters degree in Bible and Theology from Southwestern Assemblies of God University, and is an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God. Pastor Brooke earned a bachelors degree in Music Education from the University of Arkansas, finished a masters degree in Organizational Leadership from Southwestern Assemblies of God University, and is an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God.
Together, they believe in the transformative, practical power of the Holy Spirit and daily inspire others to live for Christ.
The Bates’ have three boys: Jared, Levi, and Noah.
FUN FACTS!
When and where I got saved:
Eric - I gave my life to Christ when I was 12 years old at my bedside
Brooke - I was saved when I was 7 after watching the Heaven or Hell drama at Easter
Regular drink at Starbucks:
Eric - dark roast pour over
Brooke - iced vanilla latte
The one thing that most people don’t know about me:
Eric - as a kid, I wanted to be a professional billiards player
Brooke - I sang in a jazz group in college
Where I grew up:
Eric - Huntington, AR
Bates - Cedarville, AR
Weird quirks:
Eric - I like nacho cheese Doritos with a side of BBQ sauce
Brooke - Most candy bars are gross to me, but chocolate baked is delicious
Least favorite thing to do:
Eric - I hate to go to bed early
Brooke - I hate to go to bed late
Biggest fears:
Eric - giving my life for things that don’t matter and Komodo dragons (in no particular order)
Brooke - falling from great heights

Eric - they change often, but right now a few are: John 10:10, Romans 8:1, Matthew 6:33, 2 Samuel 7:18, Psalm 103:1-2
